Extra-Curricular Clubs
At Stanningley, we offer a range of extra-curricular clubs that give children the opportunity to develop new interests, build skills, and enjoy time with friends outside the classroom.
Clubs run before school, at lunchtime and after school across the year, and there is something on offer for children of all ages.
Sports Clubs
Many of our clubs are led by Mr Davis (Gaz), our experienced sports coach from Bradford City Foundation. These sessions focus on fitness, teamwork and building confidence through a variety of sports and games.
Activities include football, multi-sports, and seasonal games — and are always popular with our pupils.
Gardening Club
Our Gardening Club gives children the chance to spend time outdoors, helping to look after the school garden. They enjoy learning about plants, taking part in seasonal planting, and developing a sense of responsibility and care for the environment.
Chess Club
We also run a well-established Chess Club, which has its own dedicated page. This club supports strategic thinking and concentration in a friendly and supportive setting.
Choir and Other Clubs
Our KS2 Choir meets regularly and performs at school events such as the Christmas and Easter Services. It’s a great opportunity for children who enjoy singing and performing.
We also offer other activities throughout the year, including arts and crafts sessions, and short-term clubs linked to school events or interests.
How to Join
Details of available clubs are sent out each term via newsletters and ParentMail. We aim to keep clubs as accessible as possible, with many free of charge.
If you would like to know more about what’s currently on offer, or how to sign up, please contact the school office.
