Year 6 Leavers Assembly

It's now time to say good bye to our current Year 6 Children.

SPS Sports Day

We all had a fabulous time in the beautiful weather on Sports Day.

SPS Summer Fair

We had yet another great day with all our families and friends who came to join us for our annual Summer Fair, raising money for our special charities. We had a bouncy slide, cakes and buns, hook a bag, Wills Way goods, score a goal, tombola, brick a brac and lots more. We even had a fantastic Raffle with lots of brilliant prizes. Thank You to all those who took part.

Bramley's Got Talent

We all had a fabulous night at Bramley's Got Talent. The performances from all the schools were AMAZING. Every single child was a winner. Stanningley did super well in the competition. Have a look at our winners

World Book Day

We all came to school dressed as a character of our favourite books.

Poetry at Stanningley P.S to celebrate World Book Week

We had a great day yet again with out very good friends Colin, Julie and Adam the poets. We started the day with a whole school assembly then each class had there own session.

Stanningley's Got Talent

What a fun we have had at our Talent show. We are so lucky to have such a variety of talent all in one school. Thank you to all who took part.

Love has no labels

Today we had a whole school assembly on Love has no labels. We had a discussion about what a families is and how each one of us can have a different combination of relatives living with us. We watched a very heart warming video from You tube called, ( Love Has No Labels). It showed us our bodies from the inside . We all looked the same in x-ray vision.

The Whole School does Samba

The Whole School have enjoyed the fantastic experience of Samba with our friend Dave. We began the day with a whole school assembly. Then each class had their own class sessions. At the end of the day we were all invited to a Year 6 performance. What a treat it was for all those families that cam to see it.

Fun in the snow

We have had a lovely time in the first snow fall of the year.

Holocaust Anneversary

We held a whole school assembly to remember all the people who were involved in the Holocaust.

Denim for Dementia

We all came to school on Friday 25th January wearing denim, to raise awareness for Dementia. We all brought £1 to school to raise money for the charity . We had a whole school assembly and learned all about the horrible disease and how it can affect people and there families.

Stanningley Choir at Leeds Bradford Airport

Through our connections with Bradford City Football Club, the choir were invited to sing some of our Christmas carols at Leeds and Bradford Airport. The children sung wonderfully and helped to raise an amazing amount of money. The children were all dedicated members of the choir and they were proud to perform for a very appreciative audience.

Stanningley Sing at Leeds Town Hall

Six children from years 5 and 6 were chosen to represent our school as part of the LMSA festival. They joined with 40 other primary schools from across Leeds to form the Festival Choir at this prestigious event. The performance took place on Tuesday 4th December at the Town Hall. The children - Abigail, Michelle, Libby and Carolann from year 6, and Luca and James from year 5, performed amazingly in front of the sell out audience. Well done all of you!

Children in Need

The whole school raised money today for Children in Need. We all brought £1 to wear our spots or Pudsey bear costumes. We all took part in a whole school assembly where Pudsey bear helped us draw a raffle then we sang a song for him. Following the assembly Pudsey came to visit each class to have his picture taken with all the children.

National Odd Socks Day

What is Odd Socks Day? Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It's an opportunity for children to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique! We all celebrated this on Monday 12th November which is the first day of Anti Bullying Week. Harvest Festival

We all had a wonderful time at the Annual Harvest Festival. We all joined in with some new Harvest Songs and some of our old favourites. The Reverend Coutts also joined us and said our pray for us.

Leeds Children's Mayor FINAL

We are all so incredibly proud of Libby who reached the final of the Leeds Children's Mayor election for this academic year. Libby wrote a manifesto which was selected to reach the final 12 out of 50 entrants from across schools in Leeds (only one entrant per school was permitted and this had to be selected by the children). Libby spent the summer campaigning and to help collect votes and received over 900 votes in total! Although Libby did not get elected as the Children's Mayor, in our eyes she is still a winner! What an amazing accomplishment!

Whole School Assembly

The Whole School participated in a Respect and Pride assembly. We could suggest different ways we can show respect to our friends and families. We then all gave good examples of how we could feel pride in all that we do.

MacMillan Coffee Morning

A HUGE THANK YOU to all our friends and family who came to join in our MacMillan coffee morning. It was a great event. Lots of people donated buns , cakes and prizes for our raffle. We continued to sell all the lovely buns after school. Here are some of the people who came. Thank You for making a our morning a special one.

School Council

All Key Stage 2 have placed a vote for their own class spokes person in our School Council. Mondays assembly was to announce the winners of the voting. Here are our new School Council for 2018 .

Whole School Road Safety Assembly

During our safety week the whole school participated in a whole school assembly from our friends the Road Safety Team. Each class then had a turn to learn or consolidate their safety skills.
