For an extra special treat, we proud to offer an invitation to our gym club members to attend a school gym session at Gymmagic, Unit 5, 1st Avenue, Grangefield Industrial Estate, Pudsey, LS28 6QN. This was a super opportunity for our children to experience high standard facilities in a purpose built gym club. For further details regarding Gymmagic, please see the Club Links section of our PE web page.

At Stanningley, we were glad to welcome Rick Gonzalez , UKCC Level 1 coach Table Tennis England to deliver table tennis sessions after school. Rick reported that the children at Stanningley were all very enthusiastic and were all learning a multitude of skills quickly. The majority of children who attended the club on a regular basis have already passed their Butterfly Skills Bronze Starter Award that was presented in assembly. Now into it's second year, we have around twenty regular players attendees.

This club has been opened up to Year 5 children during Spring 2. Children are learning how to safely use climbing wall equipment to support their climb up the wall at Leeds West Academy! A group of children are also improving their table tennis skills, supported by a former Great British #1 table tennis player!

Tri Golf was offered to the children on the After School Club Letter for Autumn 2. This was the first time that Tri-Golf had been offered as an after school club and it was a great success. Hopefully the skills will be put to good use when the children enter the Tri Golf competition in Summer Term.

We were very excited to offer the children the opportunity to take part in the Cross Country Club. The club takes part on a Friday Lunch time and is a favourite with the adults and children.

The children from KS1 have the opportunity to part in additional activities that help develop fundamental skills in PE.

Key Stage 1 have been enjoying dance club every Friday lunch time with Miss Soanes. The children have been exploring creating their own movement sequences and partner work to the music from the popular film, 'Frozen'. The children have created some excellent movement pieces and have worked so hard to devise independently! Well done all!
