Year Three had an extended PE session today and took part in a mini class sports day. Each team had chance to practice and then compete in a variety of different activities. It was very hot but everyone tried their best and performed well.
We have a very special day in school today, to celebrate National Cricket Week. Class 3 began the day by meeting "Billy The Trumpet" who told the children all about the Barmy Army! Together the class created their own chant which they then preformed with Billy. We had "Little Earn" the Yorkshire Tea Van parked outside the classroom window & everyone got their own Little Earn to take home. After lunch the children also got to practice their cricket skills & play a game of cricket.
Here are some Videos of Billy working with Year 3.
Continuing on from the work we have been doing with the artist, Nichola Pemberton, we decided to make the most of the weather and draw our school landscapes.
We had a virtual tour of Leeds Art Gallery. Our guide, Amanda, talked to us about landscapes. We looked at, discussed and sketched lots of different landscapes. We did a quick 10 minutes landscape picture using our imagination and put them together to make one long landscape. Take a journey with us.
Class 3 have had fun, looking at finding halves & quarters in maths this week.
Class 3 have had a look around the school garden & enjoyed drawing the different types of plants that they could. They then labeled the different parts of the plants.
We all had a fun filled day wearing Red & taking part in Comic Relief activities to raise money for the charity.
Even though we could not be all together to celebrate world book day, this didn't stop us from dressing up & sharing our favourite characters on Zoom. Mr Harington shared the book Silly Billy, & we took part in the Bradford City, BIG READ, live with Gaz!
This half term has been very different due to Covid 19, but children have still been working very hard on their home learning. Here is a selection of work.
Even though things are a little different this year, we still managed to had a virtual visit from a very special person, who sent a message & gits for everyone.
Everyone came dressed up, ready for a full day of fun at the Christmas Party.
Today was Christmas Dinner Day. Everyone enjoyed their lunches & had lots of fun.
Today was Children in Need. Children donated £1.00 to come in non-uniform or wear something Pudsey Bear. We raised so much money for this fantastic cause. Lots of children also took part in the raffle. Thank you for all your kind donations
To show our respects we took part in a two minute silence at 11am. We also did some literacy around remembrance & created some acrostic poems.
A Big Congratulations to this years, Class 3 School Council Representatives.
Due to the current Covid situations we had to make a few changes to the way we did our annual school council voting this year. However everyone still had the opportunity to place their anonymous votes.
